Get started
- Open Audelue on macOS 26 or later. Choose Transcribe, Transcribe & Translate, or Translate Audio, then an engine and languages.
- Select system mix, a specific app, or the microphone, and grant the requested permissions.
- Start the session. You can pause, resume, or finish at any time.
Connect a cloud engine
In Settings → Cloud & Privacy, select a service, allow data processing, and save your own API key. Microsoft Azure also requires a Speech endpoint that matches your resource. Select Test Connection to check your setup.
Provider charges are separate and are not included in the Audelue full version.
Adjust bilingual and Live captions
In caption settings, adjust the order, text size, and line count for source text and translation. Choose automatic or one to four lines. Automatic uses one line for Chinese and Japanese and two for Latin text.
Engines marked Live show captions as speech unfolds.
No audio or captions
Check that your source is playing, the session is not paused, and the source language is correct. Check microphone or screen and system audio recording permissions in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security. You may need to reopen the app after changing a permission.
If one app produces no audio, try a local audio file. Some apps and protected content may not be capturable.
Free sessions, purchases, and restore
Free sessions run for up to three minutes, excluding paused time. You can still view the session’s captions and history when time runs out. A one-time full-version purchase removes the session time limit.
View purchase options in Settings → General → Full Version. If you have purchased but the app is still locked, check that you use the purchasing account, then select Restore Purchases.
Manage history and privacy
Revisit, export, or delete sessions in the history window, or clear all history. Turning history saving off keeps existing records. Delete exported files separately.
Manage service consent, API keys, and saved prompts in Settings → Cloud & Privacy. See the privacy policy for data processing and deletion details.
